Home design with advanced technology and environmentally sensitive built in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica has beautiful scenery. Blend between modern technology and the environment that provides luxury and synergistic relationship with nature. Built on a mountainside overlooking the Golfo Dulce, Casa Torcida designed by SPG Architects who gave a touch of technology in every part of the energy consumption to save.
The following are excerpts from the SPG Architect:
The house is energy self-sufficient – appliances and lighting were chosen for low power consumption that is sourced by photovoltaic cells on the roof. Solar hot water panels provide domestic hot water. Maximizing cross ventilation and ample overhangs have eliminated the need for air conditioning in this year-round tropical climate. As a result, this house is an indigenous yet distinctly modern piece of architecture
